Island Press meets a wide range of printing needs for Bermuda’s diverse and demanding market, from simple business cards and flyers to newspapers, magazines, and annual reports for the Island’s sophisticated international business sector.

Ongoing investment in people and technology ensures that Island Press is always equipped to meet the challenge of a rapidly changing industry. The company was the first in Bermuda to introduce a web offset press (1964), four-colour press (1978) and the advances in digital imaging, scanning and typesetting through the 1980s and 1990s. Indeed the company’s founder, American Donald French, had been the first to introduce web offset printing to the US in the 1950s. From the island’s first Yellow Pages directory to large format poster printing, it has all come off the press first at Island Press.

Today, the latest computer-to-plate processes at our 6,500 square foot plant at the Donald French Building in Hamilton enables Island Press to print material of the highest quality quicker and more efficiently than ever before. Our modern presses and bindery equipment can handle runs from 500 up to 500,000.

Our Business

Technology is critical to our business but our customers always come first. To meet those expectations Island Press offers a full range of offset printing services as well as graphic design, embossing, die-cutting, binding and shipping. Our product range includes business cards, flyers, financial printing, annual reports, brochures, presentation folders, fine art prints, posters, magazines and corporate stationery.
Our clients include some of Bermuda’s best-known and successful businesses: HSBC Bank of Bermuda, ACE Limited, Digicel, HWP and Capital G.

Island Press has also printed MediaHouse Limited products such as the twice-weekly Bermuda Sun newspaper and the monthly Preview Bermuda tourist magazine for more than 40 years.

Management

	Jamie Petty, General Manager Jamie, a Bermudian, has been with Island Press Limited since March 3, 1997. He started at the Press as a single-colour press person, working 100+ hour weeks for 3 ½ years before becoming the General Manager of Island Press Ltd. Jamie has a background in economics and anthropology which suits the job skill set requirements. He also functions as the MediaHouse plant manager. Jamie can be reached at: 441 534 1805
	Keith Musson, Production Manager British-born Keith Musson joined Island Press as a pre-press technician in 1979. He was in charge of Pre-Press Production before becoming Production Manager in 1999. He served his apprenticeship in the UK, working with leading music publisher Chappell’s of London before coming to Bermuda. Keith can be reached at: 441 534 7353
	Chris Worsick - Sales & Marketing Manager Re-located to Bermuda and commenced working for Island Press in October, 1998 after 12 years in international sales with Goss Graphic Systems the world’s leading manufacturer of newspaper and magazine offset printing presses. Promoted to sales and marketing manager in 2001, Chris is part of a highly skilled and client focused production team dedicated to producing high quality litho and digital printing in an efficient and time sensitive manner.
